The second lecture of the spring series, “The Prophetic Spring: Lessons from the Lives of God’s Prophets” will be on 2/24. The topic on the 24th will be “When Downs are Ups: The Prophet Adam & The Origin of the Human Being.” Program will begin after Isha, babysitting will be provided along with refreshments!
On March 2nd Darul Uloom New York will be hosting a fundraiser at NBIC for their school. The event will feature world renowned nasheed artist Junaid Jamshed. Join us this weekend as we seek out the night that Allah has said is better than a thousand months. Insha’Allah we will have guest speakers, qiyam al layl (night prayer), refreshments, suhoor, activities for the youth (12+), Qur’an recitation and more. Programs will be on the nights of Friday (8/26), Saturday (8/27), and Sunday (8/28). Program begins each night at 11:30.

Please be advised that we would like to facilitate an atmosphere conducive to worship and reflection, and as such we ask that parents of small children strongly consider leaving their young ones at home. In any case, noise and disruption should be kept to a minimum, and parents are expected to maintain supervision of their children at all times. All minors MUST be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult.
A 7-session course covering the essentials of Islamic theology.
Course meets at 5:30 pm, Monday thru Friday beginning on August 15 and ending on August 23
at the New Brunswick Islamic Center, 1330 Livingston Avenue, North Brunswick, NJ.
This class is free, but donations are welcome to cover the cost of course materials.
Shaykh Jihad Hashim-Brown is an American Muslim jurist and theologian currently serving as an academic adviser in Abu Dhabi, UAE. After receiving degrees in Psychology and Near East Studies from Rutgers University, New Jersey, he went on to pursue Islamic Studies with prominent religious authorities in Syria and Morocco. He has worked extensively with Muslim communities in the United States and Europe and also appears frequently on numerous satellite television programs in the Middle East, including the BBC’s Doha Debates and CNN’s Prism. Brown is also a regular columnist for the UAE’s The National newspaper on religious and spiritual issues of the day, and is regularly consulted by governments and institutions in the West and in the Middle East on Islam and international relations.
Alhamdulillah, after many months of hard work, the new center is operational. We were able to inaugurate the center on the second night of Ramadan with tarawih prayers held at the new facility.
