Attendees are encouraged to come on whatever days they can attend, attending all three days is not mandatory.

On May 20, the New Jersey Parents Advocates will meet at 2pm in the gym at NBIC.

On June 2, NBIC will be holding it’s annual community picnic at Colonial Park in Somerset New Jersey. Rain date will be June 3, more information will be availible as the date nears.

June 9, NBIC will be holding a program entitled “Foster Care Parenting, What Every Muslim Family Needs to Know” speakers at this event will include Dr. Aref Assaf, Dr. Shadee Elmasry and Ray Ortiz. For more information see flier below.

• Establish policies, procedures and safety guidelines for all programs
• Evaluate programs and provide feedback as needed
• Report and discuss activity schedule plans with the board members
• Provide on-site surveys and review of programs
• Create programs upon request.
• Attend necessary workshops, events and training seminars
• Communicate policy and information to program staff
• Communicate program status with the board members on weekly basis

• Recruit, hire, and provide training and supervision of volunteers
• Provide written evaluation of program staff.
• Maintain open communication lines among instructors, volunteers and participants
• Supervise documentation of volunteers
• Schedule staff and volunteers to ensure safe and competent delivery of services

• Assist with program promotion
• Provide public presentations and demonstrations as needed
• Assist with fund raising
• Contribute to the production of newsletter articles and other promotional     materials.

• Assist with office supervision and management
• Interface with, and cultivate relations with, professional and community partners
• Assist with program budget development
• Maintain records and filings (Tax, State, Insurance, contracts and other agreements).
• Oversee and be responsible for day to operations of the organization.
• Apprise the board members of program and project status

•   BA/BS degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
•   Three years experience in program management preferred
•   Three years experience in staff management and supervision preferred
•   Personable and able to work within a customer service framework
•   Refined and well-organized with multi-tasking skills
•   Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
•   Strong computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)

The entire program is available to participants for a $300 registration fee, which includes a Middle Eastern-themed lunch at Sahara Restaurant at 165 Easton Avenue in New Brunswick, NJ. The Rutgers Division of Continuing Studies will also issue a certificate for 3.0 CEUs to interested participants for an additional fee of $30. For participants who wish to spend the night in New Brunswick, low-cost accommodations are also available through the Rutgers Continuing Education Conference Center, which offers doubles at the rate of $70 per night.
